There are several innovations of this educational year. One of them is the addition of assistant teachers for students with special needs. There will be 2,100 assistant teachers in all of Albania this year, i.e. 200 more than a year ago.
The number of police officers in schools has also increased, 40 more than last year, 240 in total.
Social workers and psychologists have also been added, totaling 850 across the country.
