Balluku explains the situation with the energy failure: Record temperatures may

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has clarified the situation regarding the interruption of electricity throughout Albania at noon today.

The minister said that the large volumes of the transmission system and very high temperatures at record levels have created this problem.

Balluku added that the power outage was restored very quickly, in only 30 minutes in the country, while in Tirana it took 17 minutes.

"We have had electricity cuts throughout Albania, on the other hand we have been informed that the same situation has occurred in Montenegro, partly in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From the first analysis, it results that the large volumes of the transmission system at these moments, as well as very high temperatures at record levels have created this problem.

It must be said that from the good work that was done in the field, we managed to recover all the electricity distribution through the lines in the country within 30 minutes, while Tirana was recovered within 17 minutes. We are in constant communication with all our colleagues in the region to keep the network safe", said Balluku.
