Cell phones should be banned from students and teachers! Rama talks about the new system that will be applied in schools
Prime Minister Edi Rama, during an advisory meeting with parents at the "Halit Coka" school in Kamëz, stated that a digital system will be installed at the school door, which will signal if someone has a cell phone with them.
He said that this system will be implemented first at the "Fan Noli" gymnasium, of which the late Martin Cani was a part.
Rama emphasized that mobile phones will not be banned only for students, but also for teachers.
"The first is that this blame-shifting to a large extent is created by the long distance and lack of communication between the school and the parents. This is where the school must take the first step, and that is why we are investing to expand the capacity of the parent information program, introducing periodic information on behavior and other issues. The second is that as far as mobile phones are concerned, we have the rule but the implementation is not that simple and we are aware that they are introduced into schools. Therefore, the system I talked about will help us a lot. We will do a quick first example at Fan Noli symbolically for a digital door control. Not like the ones at the airport, but it is a system that directly detects any type of mobile object, knife, that a person has on his body. And this will significantly reduce the chance of bringing cell phones into school. Third, we must impose sanctions because otherwise what they say will happen will happen.
Here we are not talking about the student not taking the phone, but leaving it at the door of the school. For students who are worried about losing their phone, a place with a key can be made there and left, then you enter. But these are technical things, but what is important is to cooperate. Because the state cannot play the role of parents or teachers. A parent is a parent, while a teacher is a teacher. You can't replace it. What we need to do is limit our children's friendship with this 'friend' of theirs.
Lesson time and school time should not have cell phones. It should also be limited to teachers, mobile phones should be left at the door. In case of an emergency, he can communicate, but that's all, he doesn't need a cell phone, since there are teachers who sit all the time with cell phones in their hands", he said.
