The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani announced through a post on social networks that 10 Albanian students and 5 employees of the Ministry of Tourism and their families have left Israel through the Tel Aviv airport and are in Cyprus.
They arrive in Albania this evening.
"Albanian citizens who traveled last week for work or tourist reasons in the Middle East are safe and sound.
From Saturday evening, through continuous coordination with the embassies of the Republic of Albania in Israel and Egypt, we started work to organize the return of all Albanian citizens whose flights were canceled due to the tense situation in the region.
10 students studying in international schools in Israel, 7 of them from Albania and 3 from Kosovo, together with 5 employees of the Ministry of Tourism and their family members, have arrived in Cyprus. Today in the evening, the 15 citizens who left Tel Aviv travel to Tirana and Pristina.
We are working on the return to the homeland of the two citizens, who could not answer the phone on Sunday, while the next flight was being prepared.
Meanwhile, 13 Albanian tourists left Jordan yesterday evening, and have been with their families in their homeland for several hours.
Gratitude to the diplomats of the Republic of Albania in Israel and Egypt, who helped and assisted the citizens in these difficult hours", writes Minister Hasani.
