Albania participates in the global tourism fair Fitur 2025 in Madrid, through the agenda organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, whose stand is conceived as a bouquet of sensations, experiences and flavors that Albania offers.

Before the launch of this fair, Minister Kumbaro met with the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of this organization.

"Albania continues to be at the top of the Tourism Barometer for the substantial increase in international bubbles and tourism revenues, as the World Tourism Organization celebrates these days the 50th anniversary of its creation, where our country is a full member and an important actor in Southeast Europe.

"With UNWTO, we have co-organized the 70th meeting of the Commission for Europe in Tirana, we have published the first tourism investment guide in Albania and we will be again with a joint program at the ITB Fair in Berlin, while many good works await us, starting with the UN Tourism Academy, which we intend to open in Tirana as a training center for tourism professionals not only in Albania, but throughout the Balkans," said Minister Kumbaro.

The year 2024 marked growth from Latin American markets as well as Spanish visitors who reached 109 thousand visitors or 26% more than the previous year.
Minister Kumbaro is also expected to meet with the Spanish Minister of Tourism, Jordi Hereu.

Through the slogan "Albania All Senses", Albania presents its potentials under the approach of sustainable tourism development practices.

"We present Albania as a tourist destination at the giant global tourism fair in Madrid, now a tradition but each time with a new image, new emotions and experiences that our country with its wild nature but hospitable spirit offers," announced Minister Kumbaro in Albania's promotional spot on social networks.

This fair is important for attracting visitors from Spain and Latin American markets, while over 9,000 exhibitors participate.
During the days of the “Fitur” fair, from January 22-26, the Albanian stand will turn into a center of discussion spaces, presentations of tourist experiences through artificial intelligence, the TEA Travel application and gastronomic experiences.
