This is the new record for more than a year. The European currency has depreciated by 3.2%, according to the update of the Bank of Albania.
Today, 1 Euro has been exchanged for 100 Lek at currency exchange points.
The same trend has been followed by other currencies in the foreign exchange market, as the American dollar is exchanged at 93.7 Lek, the British pound at 117.6 Lek and the Swiss franc at 102.9 Lek.
This foreign exchange situation is explained by the strengthening of the lek as a result of the tourist influx.
