Listing of the first corporate title on the Albanian Stock Exchange!
For the first time in the history of the Albanian capital market, a private company issues bonds through a public offering. In other words, it offers the general public to subscribe to its debt securities. This important development means that not only government securities will be traded on the Albanian stock exchange ALSE, but also corporate instruments, such as the one issued by the microfinance company NOA.
The Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, was present at the launch ceremony of this important development for the capital market, which paves the way for the listing of other companies on the stock exchange; Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko; The General Director of the Financial Supervision Authority, Ervin Mete, members of the parliamentary economy committee; some of the biggest entrepreneurs in the country etc. In their welcoming remarks, they appreciated the importance of the development of the capital market for the financial system, business and the economy as a whole.
"The Albanian Stock Exchange was founded in 2017 by its 3 shareholders: Credins Bank, American Investment Bank and AK-Invest. Its activity was officially launched in February 2018. Only government securities were listed on the Stock Exchange, until the issuance of the first corporate instrument by NOA, a step that is expected to be taken by other companies as well".
