The 2024 budget project/ 300 million euros more than this year, which sectors will be supported

The coming year's budget is estimated to be around 7 billion euros, 300 million euros more than this year.
The Ministry of Finance says that this draft budget supports priority sectors such as education, health, social protection, agriculture, energy and infrastructure. In total, investments for the coming year reach the figure of 1.2 billion euros.
It is also specified in the draft that for the coming year, 77 million euros will be given for the pension bonus and for pension indexation.
While 110 million euros have been predicted that will go to the salary reform, which foresees the salary increase for employees of the health system, education, employees with ranks and civil servants of the public administration. This increase will start from July 1, 2024, while the next increase in this category was made in April of this year.
To continue with the reconstruction program, funds in the amount of 70 million euros have been provided, out of the 170 million euros that were foreseen for the reconstruction for 2023.
Expenses in the amount of 50 million euros have been set for the compensation of the former owners, a reform which is still far from being closed. As for the public debt for the next year, it will be worth 14.3 billion euros, almost the same value as the current year, and it is not foreseen to go to the international markets to get a new debt.
