The Economic Institute of Vienna has revised the growth of the economy in Albania, bringing it to 3.3% for this year. Also, there are positive forecasts for the next two years, where economic growth is expected to reach the level of 4%.
With this growth rate, Albania ranks second in the region, leaving behind Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro.
The report emphasizes that the local currency is overvalued compared to the European currency. The further strengthening of the lek will continue, the report states, while tourism is developing and remittances and foreign direct investments are continuing their upward trend.
According to recently published statistics, it can be observed that the level of inflation in the country is expected to stabilize.
