Albanians are ranked last in a Eurostat report on alcohol consumption in Europe.
According to the report, the consumption of alcoholic beverages in Albania was 19% of the European Union average, while Turkey ranked last with an average of 5%.
In the Western Balkans region, the most drink-loving peoples are Montenegrins and Serbs, while North Macedonia comes after them. Meanwhile, Bosnia and Herzegovina is at similar levels to Albania.
The Swiss are the first in Europe for the consumption of alcoholic beverages with 208% of the European average. They are followed by Austrians with 146% and Estonians with 139%.
