By Eduard Zaloshnja/ In a socio-economic survey that I designed and conducted (before Sunday's DP primaries) in the territory of the Municipality of Tirana (including the villages), I had in the questionnaire the question "Who would you vote for, NQS today, the mayoral elections between Belind Kelliç and Erion Veliaj would take place?"

The survey showed that, if the race had been held before Sunday, Veliaj would have been voted by 55.1% of those who were ready to vote even then, while Këlliç by 44.9%. About 40 out of 100 Tirana voters would not vote at all.

Even on the day that Këlliçi officially announced his candidacy for mayor of Tirana (1 month ago), I conducted a completely random SMS electronic poll in the territory of Tirana, from which I found that the race Veliaj-Këlliçi (if it was held that day) would come out 54%-46% (about 42 out of 100 Tirana voters would not vote at all).

After the declaration of peace between Kelliçi and Alimehmet (at the end of the hot race of Tirana's primaries), it remains to be seen how the reports will change in the main Veliaj-Kelliçi race. And later it remains to be seen how the introduction of a third candidate in the race will change the equation - that of the Alibeaj faction...
