After Facebook, Instagram and Twitter stripped them of the right to monetize (make money from advertising), Pornhub also condemns Russia.
The adult content platform, Pornhub, has decided not to make the videos available to those accessing them from Russian servers. So anyone entering from a device in Russia, or any other country but connected to a Russian server, will not be able to watch videos with sexual content on this platform.
After all, it was Putin himself in 2016 who tried unsuccessfully to block all major pornographic sites, accessible in the country.
This is not the first time Pornhub has taken such initiatives. In 2020, at the time of the pandemic outbreak, when views increased significantly, the site offered its free premium service (for one month) to anyone entering from Italy. The decision was made as Italy was one of the countries most affected by the pandemic.
