Kosovo has signed the application for membership in the European Union.
The application was signed by the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, and the prime minister, Albin Kurti.
"We are taking a decisive step towards realizing our collective dream and our inalienable ambition", said Osmani, adding that the application for EU membership is a step towards fulfilling Kosovo's European ambitions.
The submission of the application is expected to take place on December 15 in Prague, Czech Republic, the country that currently holds the presidency of the European bloc.
