Joe Biden has announced today that he will withdraw from the race for a second term.
In his resignation letter, Biden offers his support to Vice President Kamala Harris.
"I offer my full support to Kamala to be the nominee this year. It's time for Democrats to come together to defeat Trump," Biden writes.
Biden resigned after weeks of pressure from various media outlets and analysts due to his recent performance in the showdown with Trump.
