US President Joe Biden has clarified once and for all the reasons why he gave up the race for another second presidential term.
The reason was the internal party struggle.
Biden says he feared the intra-party battle over his candidacy would be a real distraction for Democrats and that his highest priority was defeating Donald Trump in November.
"We must, we must, we must defeat Trump. And I was worried about staying in the race. You were going to interview me, why did Nancy Pelosi say, why did she do that, and I thought that would be a real distraction," Biden told CBS News.
