Over 2600 victims from the devastating earthquake in Morocco
The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Morocco continues to rise.
According to the latest data, at least 2,681 people have lost their lives after Friday night's 6.8-magnitude earthquake, and another 2,501 have been seriously injured, writes Al Jazeera.
Those numbers are expected to rise as search and rescue teams struggle to access mountainous areas that are difficult to reach.
The World Health Organization says more than 300,000 people live in the worst-hit areas and experts have warned that the next 48 hours will be "critical" for saving lives.
