NASA predicts that a giant asteroid could hit Earth 159 years

NASA scientists say there is a chance that a large asteroid called Bennu could hit Earth in 159 years.
They have been observing Bennu since 1999 and it approaches Earth every six years. In September 2025, Bennu may pass through a special region of space that would cause it to crash into Earth later in 2182.
If it does, it could be super destructive, being the equivalent of 22 atomic bombs.
NASA sent a satellite to Bennu that collected rocks and dirt in 2020. The spacecraft will bring those samples back to Earth on Sunday.
