Longest air blackout since September 11, 2001 Iran's attack on Israel

Global airlines faced flight disruptions today after Iran's missile and drone attacks on Israel hampered options for planes flying between Europe and Asia.

Iran's attack on Israel with more than 300 missiles and drones, which were mostly shot down by Israel's missile defense system, caused aviation chaos.

Many flights have been canceled over the past two days.

They include: Qantas (QAN.AX)

Lufthansa of Germany (LHAG.DE)

United Airlines (UAL.O)

Air India

This is the largest flight disruption since the September 11, 2001 attacks in America.

"Not since then have we had a situation with so many different airspaces closed and it creates chaos," Mark Zee, founder of OPSGROUP, which monitors airspace and airports, told Reuters.

According to him, the cancellations will continue for several days.
