A day after death, what is happening with the body of Alexei Navalny? Navalny's team has spoken to the BBC and states that the body is being hidden by the Russian authorities.

Navalny's spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh, wearing a black T-shirt and deeply moved, told the BBC they believe Vladimir Putin ordered the opposition leader's death.

"We know for sure that it wasn't just a death, it was a murder. They are trying to cover their tracks, that's why they are not giving the body to his family", she declared.

Yarmysh said he does not know where the body is and when it will be handed over to Navalny's family.

According to the law, the body must be handed over to the family within two days.

Meanwhile, Russian investigators have stated that the body of Alexei Navalny will not be handed over to the family until the investigation is completed.
