The mother of the 18-year-old who killed 19 students and two teachers in Texas, has spoken publicly about the gruesome event. She told the media that her son was not violent and that he was speechless when he learned about the event.
Adriana Reyes revealed that she last spoke to her son on Monday, when it was his birthday. The woman denied having a cold relationship with him, but admitted that he did not have many friends.
"My son was not a violent person. "I am surprised by what he did," she told foreign media.
"I pray for those families. I pray for all those innocent children. "
A few days before committing the crime, the perpetrator had posted on social media two guns and labeled a girl.
He worked in a restaurant and colleagues have described him as an unfriendly man. A former classmate further claimed that he was systematically bullied by his peers, this was the reason why the young man decided to leave school.
