The heir of Hermès denounces the disappearance of 12 billion shares! They were meant for his gardener
The legacy of Hermes and its endless history. Do you remember the story of the heir to the French fashion house, the billionaire Nicolas Puech, who decided to leave his fortune to the servant? Well, as in the best sagas, here comes another chapter of the story. The last descendant of the fifth generation of Thierry Hermès - the founder of the luxury brand of the same name - has now denounced a 12 billion share fraud. The "fraud of the century", according to him, was perpetrated by Eric Freymond, administrator of Puech's estate for over twenty years.
With accusations of unfaithful management and fraud, Nicolas Puech denounced Eric Freymond before the Geneva court.
According to the heir, the administrator hid the transactions made with Hermès shares between 1998 and 2022, causing him "a loss of 12 billion dollars". In 2022 Puech appointed his gardener, Abdel Jamal, as universal heir, modifying his first will. But the Geneva Court rejected the insinuations twice in May and finally on July 12 with a decision of the Court of Appeal.
The Geneva court ruled that Puech's "blind trust" in Freymond, who had full control of his bank account, did not show that the asset manager defrauded his client.
