Video/ Israeli fans are attacked by the Dutch in Amsterdam

Israeli fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv were severely attacked in Amsterdam on Thursday evening.

Israeli fans were attacked by a group of pro-Palestinians after the Europa League match against Ajax. Ten people were injured, dozens were arrested. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the immediate dispatch of two rescue planes to Amsterdam.

"Hundreds of fans of the Israeli soccer team Maccabi Tel Aviv were ambushed and attacked in Amsterdam on Thursday night as they left the stadium after their Europa League match against the Dutch team Ajax," the Israeli embassy in the United States wrote.

Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof reacted after the incident saying he was appalled by anti-Semitic attacks on Israeli citizens.
