Attacks continue in the north/ Police respond to the criminal group, one of the attackers is killed
The police in Kosovo announced that they responded to the attacks of the criminal group in the north of the country and announced that one of the attackers was killed.
Through a press release, the Police said that the situation there continues to be tense, and criminal groups are attacking police units in the field.
It also announces that for security reasons it has closed the two border crossings in the north (Jarinje and Bërnjak) for border traffic.

A significant number of professional attackers, masked and uniformed with different uniforms, armed with heavy weapons, grenades, military tools (zolla), some armored vehicles, are using various private spaces and objects, including in and around the monastery in Banjska, to carry out movement, shelter and positioning for shooting at KP police units.
Police units conforming to the situation and the danger posed by the sporadic attacks of criminal groups, in self-defense of themselves and the citizens of that area, have been forced to respond to the criminal groups, where according to the information so far, one of the attackers has been killed.
Referring to the situation and circumstances created, the Kosovo Police for security reasons has closed the two border crossings in the north (Jarinje and Bërnjak) for border traffic, therefore invites all citizens to use the other border points for traffic and to avoid exits and movements them in that region/area.
The cooperation and coordination of the Kosovo Police with the competent local and international institutions is continuing, with the aim of maintaining order and public safety, as well as bringing before the bodies of justice the perpetrators of continuous attacks on police officials, and at the same time invites them to surrender before the bodies of order.
