We dreamed and fought until the end!
It was our second participation in a European championship and the boys of the national team made us feel proud, in the dignified confrontation against some of the biggest European and world football schools.
The fully deserved European qualification and the victory against teams with more experience than us raised our expectations, setting a higher standard for ourselves that is no longer enough for the beautiful game.
We have come this far with a lot of sacrifices. Success, as in any area of life, even in sports, takes time to be rewarded. This National Team faithfully reflects the Albanian lands and the new generation of Albanians in the diaspora, whose parents, immigrants, who sacrificed had the only alternative, made it with their children, whom we saw on the field as talents, playing for Albania. It is this generation that was born and raised far away from the country, imbued with love for the country and a sense of responsibility before the national flag that filled our hearts with emotion and hope.
Even the Albanians in support of the National Team on the steps of the stadiums in Dortmund, Hamburg and Dusseldorf, coming from different corners of the world, were among the most fantastic of this European, best reflecting this new reality.
We dreamed and fought until the last minute. The future is more promising today. Proud of the Reds and Blacks.
