The acting mayor of Himara Municipality, Jorgo Goro, has resigned. He has addressed a letter to the municipal council of Himara and the prefect of the district. We remind you that Goro is in prison for the charge of 'abuse of duty'.

Goro was arrested on suspicion of abuse of office on two occasions. In the first case, according to SPAK, Goro together with the Director of Land Protection and Management in the Municipality, Jerasimo Bashi, forwarded to other institutions forged documents for a property over 5,500 square meters in Dhërmi, without carrying out verifications, leading to in the registration of state property in favor of private individuals. Even in the second case, both of them, referred to the Prosecutor's Office, have moved an area of ​​agricultural land over 5 thousand square meters, superimposing it on another property owned by the state. The former director of ASHK Vlorë, Bilbil Aliaj, and the former lawyer at this institution, Vezir Gjikoka, were left under "house arrest". The security measures were executed this Saturday for the last two and Jorgo Goron, as the former official of the Municipality, Jerasimo Bashi and the citizen Stavri Mëhilli were declared wanted.
