Kurti insists that Serbia first accept Kosovo, then start co-operation

No withdrawal from his idea. Albin Kurti believes that cooperation, Open Balkan or any other term for regional economic cooperation will happen only after Serbia has recognized Kosovo. At the joint meeting of governments, alongside Edi Rama, who believes the opposite of Kurti, that countries can cooperate even without resolving all political issues, as a way to advance towards softening relations. But Kurti once again today made clear the position of Kosovo and its government.

The message was the same as for Vucic and Rama, who have been in a political symbiosis for a long time.

Just a few days ago, the prime minister in an interview with politico.eu defended Serbia over sanctions against Russia, saying it would be deadly for its economy, even though he and Albania had walked the western and anti-Russian line.

"Cooperation, integration and sustainable development throughout the region is ensured by solving political problems at the beginning and not at the end. "Leaving for the end and postponing the solution of essential political problems suspends the mutual social distrust", said Kurti.
