Two fire extinguishers as a gift from Japan are added to the new Kinostudio station
Two new fire engines were added to the new fire station in Kinostudio, aid from the Embassy of Japan in Tirana. Mayor Erion Veliaj said that the new tools will serve the capital a lot, as they will also cover the peripheral areas.
"We have not only a very dignified fire station for Kinostudio, but also dignified tools to serve in Unit 4, especially in rural areas where the biggest problems are. People have forgotten how much time firefighters spent pumping water out of flooded homes. May God not give us challenges, but if He does, we are much more prepared. This is also thanks to the very generous friends we have from Japan", said Veliaj.
He added that the new fire station in Kinostudio also covers a part of the mountainous area of Dajti, Zallbastar, Shëngjergji and Krraba.
The Ambassador of Japan, Takada Mitsuyuki said: "This is the first time that we bring such tools directly from Japan to Albania. We are committed to continuing to support firefighters and the standard of living in your municipality and other municipalities in Albania."
