"I am very happy that the little engineers and supervisors are giving us a grade of 10 for the Zoo, which we will open on June 1 for all the children of Tirana. Tirana will have many activities this month, some are for adults, such as these football matches, and some of the big holidays. But, I believe, the most beautiful activity is the opening of the Zoo for June 1, which is also the children's holiday ", said Veliaj.

The Zoo has been completely redesigned, adapting to the different requirements of visitors. Veliaj underlined that the new facilities will also serve for outdoor lessons. "In the past, children saw all this space as something ugly, dirty and too narrow for animals, but today they are seeing it completely transformed. The Zoo will not only be an environment for animals to see, which this time are no longer in narrow cages, but in much larger spaces, but will also be a space for learning. So, we also have some spaces where each of the teachers can reserve and can make the class at the Zoo ", he said.

The mayor added that the next two projects will be the transformation of the Botanical Garden and the pool complex at the Lake Dam. "Once we finish at the Zoo, we want to continue at the Botanical Garden and make sure that, finally, all public spaces in Tirana are transformed. Meanwhile, as soon as we received the pools at Diga, we will return the swimming courses there, especially for children who do not have the opportunity to go on vacation, or come from families in need. For them, the municipality will be the one that offers them a space to learn swimming, even for the summer holidays ", stressed Veliaj.

Within the space of the Zoo are scattered playgrounds to make the experience for children and parents as rich as possible.
