Veliaj hosts the two Swedish politicians of Albanian origin, Adnan Dibrani and Arbër Gashi
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj hosted two Swedish politicians of Albanian origin, Adnan Dibrani and Arbër Gashi, in a meeting. Adnan Dibrani is the first Albanian to become a member of the Swedish Parliament and is now also a candidate for the European Parliament elections.
Veliaj wished both of them success in their battles, as he emphasized that political commitment comes with its good and bad, calling it a mission, which also comes with debates and opposition that must be faced.
"Goodness does not come by itself and it does not come easily, someone has to take up the battle, someone has to fight the battle and win it. I wish you much success in your battles. Adnani goes to another level, from the Swedish Parliament to the European Parliament. Even Arbri, as a substitute deputy, will represent the most active part of our community. I know that our community in Sweden is a community with many sacrifices, but when you look at young guys, who know where they came from, where they have their roots and what sacrifices they made to get here. They know that today the nation is in its best days, but it can also go up. This is a great compliment to Sweden as well, that an open-minded country gives everyone a chance. Tirana is one of those laboratory cases that from the debate, the conflict of the confrontation, we have produced a city that will soon be the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and yesterday it was the Capital of Youth and Sports", said Veliaj.
Among other things, the head of the Municipality said that Tirana is developing day by day and emphasized that it is already the home of 25 thousand Italians who live in Tirana and 3 thousand Ukrainians who have moved here. He added that Sweden is an exceptional school to learn how to give as many opportunities and chances as possible to everyone.
The two politicians, Adnan Dibrani and Arbër gashi, expressed their pleasure to come and visit Tirana, which is developing day by day and is an example to follow.
