From next September, free food for students of the capital's schools

Starting from September next year, the Municipality of Tirana intends to integrate the free food package in 100% of the capital's schools. The news was announced by the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during yesterday's meeting of the Municipal Council.
"Just as we have planned for transport, for pensioners and those with disabilities, from January 1 to travel by bus for free, we want to plan that next September, that is, not this September, we will prepare for a year , we have food in all the schools of Tirana, especially to give the children the same start. Some families are richer, some don't have the opportunities, but when it comes to calories, vitamins, every child should have an equal start in our city. Today we are in the conditions where the Municipality can make this investment, while when we were in poorer days we did not have this opportunity. The school-community center will be transformed into a plan for 100% of our schools, to make sure that we put children's food in schools", emphasized the head of the Municipality.
