Chess grandmaster Carlsen expelled from championship for wearing jeans

Breaking the dress code can be a reason to lose a championship even if you are a chess master.

Magnus Carlsen has only been disqualified for wearing jeans at the World Rapid Championship.

The Norwegian chess star, at the time of his withdrawal from the competition, was in 41st place, out of a total of 180 participants, with 5 points out of a possible 8, with a balance of three wins, four draws and one loss.

He was asked to change and when he refused, he was ejected. Carlsen was also fined for breaking the dress code.
