Hostile provocation against the Kosovo team, which stopped the match for 50

Kosovo footballers have engaged, but left empty-handed from the "Arena Nationala" in Bucharest, Romania. On Tuesday night, Kosovo lost 2:0 to Romania in the qualifying match for "Euro 2024".

The match had many developments, while it ended with a celebration of the local representative.

The match was interrupted in the 18th minute when a group of Romanian hooligans in the stadium displayed the banner "Kosovo is Serbia". The match then did not continue for a full 50 minutes.

But the unusual events did not stop. In the 42nd minute, Vedat Muriqi was sent off after the second yellow card. He received both cards for elbowing.

In the first half, "Dardans" resisted, keeping the score 0:0. But the absence of a player was noticed in the second half.

The Romanians were constantly on the attack and in the end they scored two goals. First, Romania missed a penalty in the 59th minute. The penalty was caused by Amir Rrahmani after Bernard Berisha's mistake. Nicolae Stanciu shot from the penalty spot, but Aro Muric intervened successfully.

Muric, however, was defeated in the 83rd minute. Stanciu scored for 1:0. The second goal for the locals was scored by Valentin Mihaila in the 93rd minute. Earlier, Florian Loshaj had a good chance, whose shot was stopped by the Romanian goalkeeper.

Kosovo remains penultimate with only four points. It is almost impossible to qualify. Romania is second with 12 points.
