If Dubai hotels are constantly trying to outdo each other by reaching stratospheric heights with their extraordinary amenities, one hotelier wants to win the battle once and for all.
Party-hard Five Hotels & Resort has started accepting bookings for its 16-passenger private jet, promising the fun will start before you even get to Dubai. However, flights are not limited to hotel customers. Anyone can book the plane for a trip of up to 12 hours.
This plane is designed just for partying. Its LED lights can make the entire cabin glow purple or whatever color you want. Behind a door at the rear of the main cabin is the bedroom with a queen size bed.
"We're starting to think like an entertainment company," says Kabir Mulchandani, chairman and founder of Five Global Holdings, which owns the plane.
The group's first hotel, Five Palm Jumeirah, is already recognized locally as one of the biggest party hotels in the city.
Trips on the Five plane will cost about $13,000 to $14,000 per flight hour, not including various relocation costs, which means about $195,000 for a round trip between London and Dubai. At around $12,000 per person on a full flight, it's roughly equivalent to a first class ticket on Emirates Airlines.
