Sleeping or letting go of anxiety is not easy in some cases. But experts think that the 4-7-8 method can make it easier.
The 4-7-8 is a relaxation exercise that involves breathing in for four seconds, holding for seven seconds and breathing out for eight seconds.
Also known as "relaxation breathing," 4-7-8 has ancient roots in pranayama, which is the yogic practice of regulating the breath.
How to do it:
Close your mouth and breathe for 4 seconds through your nose
Hold your breath for up to 7 seconds.
Exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds.
Repeat the process three more times.
