How 'The Simpsons' predicted the outcome of this election 24 years ago

The Simpsons seem to have predicted the US election results map 24 years ago.

For more than three decades, fans of the show have wondered how the show has predicted events like the coronavirus pandemic, the tragedy of the Titanic divers and Elon Musk at the top of Twitter.

A 2000 episode titled "Bart to the Future" also imagined Lisa Simpson succeeding Donald Trump in office.

Taking the top job, Lisa said in one clip: 'We inherited a budget crisis from President Trump.'

Then, in a 2015 animated mini-episode titled 'The Trumptastic Journey', Homer ends up standing behind Trump on an escalator and pointing to a sign in the background that reads Trump 2012, Trump 2016, then Trump 2020 and on end Trump 2024.
