FIAA elects the CEO of Vodafone Albania as its new president, increasing the focus on technology
On Thursday, February 29, during the Annual Assembly, the Association of Foreign Investors in Albania (FIAA) elected its new president. Balazs Revesz, CEO of Vodafone Albania, was elected President of FIAA for the next two years, with an absolute majority of votes, gaining the trust of the majority of FIAA representatives. Four members of the Board were also elected during the Assembly: Mirsad Haliti, Member of the Board of Directors of Procredit Bank Albania, Diego Pisa, CEO of Teleperformance Albania and Sokol Elmazaj, Partner at Boga & Associates.
The President of the Foreign Investors Association (FIAA) represents the leading company in technology and telecommunications, an essential thing in these times where everything, including businesses, are rapidly digitizing. Revesz leads Vodafone Albania since May 2023, an executive with over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and management. As technology looks to the future, FIAA, under Balazs' leadership, will be focused on supporting its members to embrace technology, e-commerce and economic growth, as a result of the focus on innovation.
"As the largest business association in Albania, FIAA is uniting all investors from different countries. FIAA has always been an impartial and goal-oriented power, representing the interests of member businesses with a clear voice and the mindset that everyone wins in the business-government-workforce trinomial," said Balazs Revesz, CEO. of Vodafone Albania.
Albania has a great potential of natural resources and human capital. What will make the difference in the years to come, in the maintenance of these resources and the dignified treatment of human capital, will be precisely the technology component. Through e-commerce, SMEs can open new paths of profits. Human capital, especially young people, can offer online services without having to emigrate.
The advancement of technology, so that it can contribute to the development and growth of Albanian businesses, as a result of the Albanian economy as a whole, requires investment and continuous training of human capital. FIAA's focus in the next 2 years will be, among other things, bringing together business forces to attract capital, in support of new technologies and innovation.
