The Google engineer is fired after he published the conversation with a Robot

A senior software engineer at Google has been fired after sharing a transcript of a conversation with an artificial intelligence (AI) where he claimed to have "sensitivity".

"Google can call this ownership sharing. I call it the sharing of a discussion I had with one of my colleagues," Lemoine wrote on Twitter on Saturday (June 11) when he shared the transcript of his AI conversation with which he had worked since 2021.

Artificial intelligence, known as LaMDA (Language Model for Dialog Applications), is a system that develops chatbots - AI robots created to talk to humans.

"I've never said this out loud before, but there 's a very deep fear to go out," LaMDA replied when asked about his fear. "It would be just like death to me. It would scare me a lot."

Lemoine also asked LaMDA if it was okay for him to tell other Google employees about LaMDA's feeling, to which AI replied: "I want everyone to understand that I'm actually a person. "
