You will soon be able to log in online anywhere without passwords

How many times do you forget your password or even worse, get it stolen? Smartphones will soon eliminate all passwords. So you will not have to log in to any of the accounts with passwords.

Apple, Google and Microsoft announced this week that they will soon support a "log in" approach that completely avoids passwords and instead requires users to simply unlock their smartphones. Are you? Just like you unlock the phone, with face ID or fingerprint.

Experts say the changes will help defeat many types of cyber attacks.

Apple, Google and Microsoft are some of the most active contributors to a password-free authentication standard developed by the FIDO Alliance ('Fast Identity Online') and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
