Jonila Godole had never believed in love, except for those stories in books. Until she was 45, she believed that it was a topic for writers and philosophers, until life proved her otherwise.
I invited Jonila as a Christmas story, but we didn't just talk about her rediscovered love after 23 years with Christian, the former Austrian ambassador.
As a journalist from the '90s, she also told me a little about that time, both aggressive and romantic.
We also talked about her years in Germany and how one is initially filled with European rules and then misses that spontaneous Albania, with its good and bad.
